Performance Video
A contemporary dance piece inspired by the development of cartography and exploration. The work explores the human experience of feeling lost and the urgency in wanting to find a place in the world. Throughout the piece, the dancers explore the space of the stage, navigating where they are and where they can possibly go. Nearing the end of the work, the dancers run through the audience with urgency and joy, taking ownership of the spaces that once felt unknown. The piece ends with the dancers jump blindly off the stage into a blackout, embracing the unknown while knowing they have the strength to tackle whatever comes next.
